Every year, the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA) sanctions and judges the w3 Awards, combing the web for the best of the best in design, marketing, and more. And every year for the past seven years, we’ve been honored to bring home a fistful of these prestigious awards.

This year is no exception—we’ve added five more Silver w3 awards to our trophy case, and we couldn’t be prouder of our incredible team and our clients.

The w3 Awards Criteria

So, how do the judges from the AIVA decide which sites take home the prizes? As w3 explains, websites are judged on these six factors:

• Ease of use
• Functionality
• Navigation
• Usability
• Visual design

All the hallmarks of a well-made website, right? These are our specialties, so it should come as no surprise that we catch the attention of the w3 jury year after year.

Now, without further ado, let’s look at those winning entries. Drumroll, please; here’s where we earned our w3 recognition this year.

General Websites: Health (On Stage Hair Studio)

Our work on On Stage Hair Studio’s website earned us a Silver award in the General Websites category. This Louisiana-based hair restoration and extension studio trusted us to bring their vision to life, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

Winning an award in the General Websites category is a true honor, as it means the w3 jury looked at the entire site and liked what they saw. This specific award was in the Health subcategory, which puts On Stage Hair Studio’s website up against any site that provides information and advice on physical health and well-being.

In other words, it’s a competitive field—and our work together came out on top. Thanks to On Stage Hair Studio for all your faith in what we do!

Website Features: Best Visual Appeal - Aesthetics (New Look Institute)

This Silver award is the first of three we received for our work with San Jose’s New Look Institute, another hair restoration company that trusted us with their digital makeover.

Awards in the Website Features category look more closely at individual parts of the user’s online experience—the specific look, feel, or functionality of a website. In this case, we took home the trophy for the site’s overall visual appeal.

The Website Features awards aren’t separated by industry, so this Aesthetics accolade means that much more—we were up against contenders of every stripe, and we won.

Website Features: Best Home Page (New Look Institute)

Our partnership with New Look Institute also earned us a Silver award for the best home page. This award category only accounts for the first impression: a site’s home or welcome page.

A website’s landing page is one of its most vital elements—especially when it comes to converting new visitors into customers—so we’re thrilled to have our eye-catching design and layout recognized by the AIVA and w3.

General Websites: Health (New Look Institute)

As if those Website Features awards weren’t enough, our efforts with New Look Institute also earned us a Silver award in the General Websites category for health and well-being sites.

General Websites: Beauty and Cosmetics (Parisienne Hair Solutions)

Finally, we took home yet another Silver award in the General Websites category, this time for our work with the South Carolina-based hair restoration business Parisienne Hair Solutions. Unlike our other general awards, this one pertains to the Beauty and Cosmetics industry—that’s any site promoting hair, makeup, skincare, and any related commentary.

We owe a heartfelt thanks to the team at Parisienne Hair Solutions for your confidence and cooperation—we appreciate you!

We Don’t Do It for Glory—We Do It for You

Clearly, it was a phenomenal year for us and our hair care clients. But don’t think our work is limited to Health and Beauty brands; over the years, we’ve won awards for digital marketing campaigns and website redesigns in practically every industry.

Since we started enCOMPASS Agency, we’ve earned a grand total of 242 trophies.

With accolades from the w3, Communicator, Davey, and Summit award programs, we feel like we’ve earned the right to celebrate. However, we don’t develop and deploy our exceptional marketing strategies to win awards. We do it because we love digital marketing, and we love making a difference.
