Judged by members of the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, the W3 Awards are noteworthy for their focus on the quality of the work—not on the size of the firm. Thus a smaller, boutique agency like enCOMPASS has a chance to shine alongside larger, Fortune 500 brands.

As for the criteria, the W3 Awards website notes that websites are evaluated along several lines—visual appeal, creativity, functionality, ease of navigation, and more.
