When did you join the enCOMPASS team?
2016
What led you into frontend development?
I actually went to school for fine arts, so I was always drawn to any creative role. Along the way I realized that I felt just as creative writing code as I do painting, designing websites, or crafting a logo.
Digital marketing is amazing. Why do you love it?
Although my role is behind the scenes, I love hearing about clients who love their new sites and how they’re all performing better for them. There’s a lot that goes into building a website and knowing that our attention to detail and optimization to reach customers really pays off for the client. I also love just how much there is to learn on a regular basis because of how often digital marketing changes, there’s never a dull moment!
What’s your favorite part about working at enCOMPASS?
It is truly a collaborative atmosphere, and all departments interact with each other regularly. If you have an idea you feel could make the company or a process better, everyone is so open to listening and trying it out. Everyone at enCOMPASS wants to make it the best place to work, so we’re all focused towards those same goals.
It’s the weekend! Describe your “perfect day.”
I’m an early riser, so getting a morning workout in with my husband or a hike with him and our two dogs in the mountains is a perfect day to me! We’d probably follow the hike up with some delicious food and spend the rest of the day relaxing and reading a good book.
Tell us a fun fact about you!
I love the outdoors and hiking, really anything with mountains. When I was 21 I spent 30 days straight backpacking in the backcountry of the Wind River Range in Wyoming. I went with a non-profit program called National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) that teaches you outdoor technical skills, environmental ethics, leadership, and risk management.
